Fionn MacCools Irish Pub Closes Its Doors Unexpectedly

After 4 Great Years and after winning the Fishers Chamber of Commerce 2009 Business of the Year

Fionn MacCool's had this to say on their Facebook Page:

We would like to take this opportunity to express our sincere appreciation for your patronage and dedication to Fionn MacCool's Irish Pub and Restaurant during the past four+ years. 2009 has been a challenging year for most of us and it is with deep regret that we are not able to withstand the economic crisis and must close our business.

To our Staff: We have been fortunate to have worked with such a wonderful and devoted staff. You have proven over and over again showing how important providing outstanding customer service is in today's business environment. Without you we could not have won the 2008 Emerging Growth Award and the 2009 Business of the ...Year Award presented by the Fishers Chamber of Commerce.

And for those whom have been with us since day one: Dave, Angie, Max, Robin Luis, Bridget; and Bill, we love you all and want to express our deepest gratitude to you for your dedication through the good and troublesome times.

And of course our heart felt thank you to the remainder of our staff, Andrea, Beth, Honor, Jackie, Jessica, Kristie, Patrick, Cory, Brooke, John, Nick, Steven, Marcus, Reagan, Allison, Abby, Ruben, Leo, Westin, Honoria, Ricardo, Zach is extended to you guys as well.

Corinne and Catrina, we love you and thank you for all your hard work and supporting us in this adventure. Last, but definitely not least, to our wonderful customers, loyal "regulars", family and dear friends, your enthusiasm and LOVE for Fionn's has truly shown over the years. We sincerely thank you.

So, with a heart felt departure from Fionn's, and as Pastor Joe would say "see you around the bend". "Some people come into our lives and quickly go. Some stay for a while, leave footprints on our hearts, and we are never, ever the same". ~Flavia Weedn ----Bill and Michelle

You guys had the best fish and chips ever! My husband and I will definitely miss being there on St. Pats Day! I hope you can open again someday. We will be right there when you do.

What a rip off! We'll be sure to follow these owners into their next business adventure, and make sure their potential customers know that they can count on nothing!

Hope my $50 investment helps pay a few of your very overdue bills!
Come back!!

Please come back under new management i.e. staff kick in and buy the place. Food was excellent and staff and entertainment was great. We would like to come back.

I'm not surprised. Bill Mills: wanna-be high roller that plays like he's BOSS but doesn't pay his bills. lolol

People will only pay $8 a pint for so long before it loses it's novelty. The fish and chips were the best, but you can get the same thing at the competitor for a better price.

What made the place was the staff. Angie knew everyone by name and always made you feel at home. Dave, Robin, Max, & Bridgette were the BEST. What a shitty thing to do to your employees right before Christmas.

And banning cigars? That's where you messed up fool. It had to have affected the business, I know I never went back.

Being of celtic decent and moving here from the northeast, this was our family's favorite place to go for food and drink. We are started to pray for a miraculous return to business for the establishment. Here's to a great group of folks and a wonderfully fun establishment. Cheers!!!
I loved it !

This is horrible. I'll really miss Fion's. Great place, great service, great food, and had the best Indy Tweetup EVER last year (30-40 people there).

I really enjoyed the food and atmosphere at Fionn MacCools. The service was always really good and I felt that Bill Pemberton was a great guy to be running it.

What a shame after they won the Fishers Chamber award.

I want to wish all the staff and management the best of luck.
