Cheeseburger in Paradise Fishers: Now Smoke Free

As of January 1, 2010 Cheeseburger in Paradise transitioned to an all non-smoking restaurant including the bar area.

Indianapolis, IN, January 23, 2010 – Cheeseburger in Paradise is located in Fishers, IN at the 96th street exit off I-69 and is one of two Indianapolis locations.  The restaurant has allowed smoking in the bar area from the time of its opening in August of 2005. The proprietor, Chris Allen, decided to take the chance and make all areas of the restaurant smoke free at the start of the New Year.  This decision was made to ensure guest comfort and promote “Island Hospitality”.

The restaurant does not have a floor to ceiling partition fully separating the family dining area and the bar area which allows for smoke to billow over to the non-smoking section of the restaurant.  According to Mr. Allen “There is an overwhelming public preference to go non-smoking.” Being in Hamilton County the restaurant is legally able to permit smoking in the bar area, but Mr. Allen says “This is a restaurant for everyone to enjoy, plus going non-smoking is just the right thing to do.”

Cheeseburger in Paradise was created in hopes that guests would get a sense of escapism while visiting the island of paradise.  This sense of escapism comes alive by providing unique cocktails, delicious Caribbean inspired entrees, and live music several nights a week. By making the restaurant smoke free the organization wants to provide an inviting environment for all guests.
