Fishers Fire Department Recognizes Firefighters
The Fishers Fire Department held its annual Awards Banquet on Saturday, where it recognized the efforts of firefighters in 2009.
Firefighters who were nominated by their peers, and received top recognition for their work and leadership in 2009 were:

Lieutenant Steve Feckete: " Roy Holland " Officer of the Year.
The memorial award is awarded to a Fishers Fire Department Officer for his/her outstanding performance, leadership, moral courage, and his/her acceptance of greater authority and responsibility. |

Lieutenant Scott Booster: Member of the Year
Awarded to a member of the Department who has demonstrated outstanding performance of duties and involvement within the Fire Department, or a member who has had a great impact on the Department or community beyond his/her normal routine of duty. |

Firefighter/Paramedic Shawn Delaney: EMS Provider of the Year
Awarded to an EMT or Paramedic who has made exceptional contributions through their commitment and dedication to the advancement of the Emergency Medical System within the Fire Department and/or statewide, consistently performs at a high level of patient care skills and professionalism by promoting unity, support and teamwork within the Department and other Fire/EMS agencies as well as colleagues, EMS personnel, and patients. |

Firefighter/Paramedic Kelli Jo Gatewood: Rookie of the Year
The Rookie of the Year Medal is presented to a member of the Department who within their first year of service has distinguished themselves in the performance of their duties. |
Other firefighters were recognized for good conduct and years of service.
Most notably, Division Chief Keith Condra was recognized for 30 years of service to the Fishers Fire Department.
