Fishers police make
auto theft arrest
Officers from the Fishers Police Department arrested two men this
morning and charged them in connection with a theft from a vehicle.
Officers responded to the Woods of Britton Apartment complex (141st
Street and SR 37) after an off-duty Hamilton County Sheriff’s Department
employee witnessed two vehicles driving dark in the complex at
approximately 3:45 am.
Officer Ryan Jones located one of the suspect vehicles at 126th and SR
37. A passenger in the vehicle, Ivan Stollmeyer (18, Fishers), was
arrested and charged with theft. Officer Ron Shepard located the second
suspect vehicle near 126th Street and Cumberland Road. Officer Shepard
arrested the driver, Marcus Spann, Jr. (19, Fishers), and charged him
with possession of marijuana and attempted theft.
Officers recovered two flashlights, a window punch, a screw driver and
tools for car amplifiers during the arrest. The men are only charged
with a theft that occurred on Elmberry Lane in Woods of Britton.
Officers will investigate if the men are connected to any other active
theft investigations.
