There will be one winner from each of two categories, elementary (K -

will either have their design featured pocket-sized on the front of the
shirt or full-sized on the back of the shirt.
When creating your design, please keep in mind that the T-Shirts are

and our theme “20 Years are Great in 2008" in their design. Other
guidelines include:
Drawings can have up to four colors.
Drawings must be on 8 1/2" x 11" paper.
Only one entry per student.

A selection committee will sort through all entries looking for
creativeness and color selection. All designs need to be easily
reproduced into a T-Shirt. Along with a $250 check, the school with the
most submitted entries will also receive a plaque for their efforts.
The final 2008 T-Shirt will be available for purchase during the Fishers
Freedom Festival and also in June in the Fishers Freedom Festival Office
and off the Festival’s web site (www.FishersFreedomFestival.org).
Proceeds benefit future Fishers Freedom Festivals.
Out of over 700 entries, last year’s winners were Rachel Dyer who is
home schooled and Lauren Evrard of Fishers Junior High School.
Back in 1989, the founders of the Fishers Parade and Festival decided to
have a community gathering to celebrate Independence Day. With the help
of volunteers, the event originated as a one-day community picnic,
parade, and a few games for the children. Due to the overwhelming
participation by the public, this event grew to a two-day event.
We are celebrating our 20th anniversary this year which will be on
Saturday, June 28 & Sunday, June 29, 2008. The Fishers Freedom Festival
is always in need of volunteers at different levels of participation.
