Volunteers needed for
July 25 Fishers concert
Adult volunteers are needed to help with the rescheduled Dave & Rae
concert which will be held on Friday, July 25 from 7:00pm - 9:00pm as
part of the Fishers Summer Concert Series. Assistance is needed with
parking from 6:00pm - 9:15pm.
“This is a very fun and popular concert and we would appreciate any help
the community can provide. This is a perfect opportunity for local
businesses or service organizations that want exposure in the community,
or for college students who are home for the summer and need to fill
their sorority or fraternity community service requirements. It’s also a
great chance for individuals or friends to meet other people in the
quickly growing Fishers community. The lawn at Fishers Town Hall will
definitely be a busy place that Friday night,” said Cindy Shoemaker,
Fishers Parks & Recreation community outreach manager.
Volunteers must be 18 or older. The department hopes to provide a
T-shirt to all who volunteer, but supplies are limited. Interested
parties should contact Cindy Shoemaker at
shoemakerc@fishers.in.us
or 595-3153, or recreation manager Amber Mink at
minka@fishers.in.us or
595-3157.
The Fishers Summer Concert Series is held each year on the lawn at
Fishers Town Hall, 1 Municipal Drive, from 7:00pm - 9:00pm, on Tuesday
evenings unless otherwise specified. The free concerts are provided by
Fishers Parks & Recreation and various sponsors with grant support from
Legacy Fund. At press time, remaining concert dates include: July 22,
Parrots of the Caribbean Sponsored by Bose, McKinney & Evans, LLP; July
25, Dave & Rae, Sponsored by Boomerang Development; and August 19,
Zanna-Doo! at an earlier time of 6:00pm - 8:00pm.
