Sports marketing grant
recipients named
Four sports organizations were awarded the Hamilton County CVB Sports
Marketing grants this summer to help attract high quality amateur and
professional sporting events, conferences and meetings
Recipients include:
Santa Claus Classic -- The Fishers Area Swimming Tigers, FAST, will
host the 2008 FAST Santa Claus Classic, December 5-7, at Fishers High
School. This multi-year event was awarded $5,000 to market the event to
potential swim team participants.
Coaches Classic -- Awarded $5,000, the
Coaches Classic, was hosted at the Indiana Fieldhouse in Fishers used
funding to promote the tournament held, July 5-8.
All American Slugfest -- The All
American Slugfest was awarded $2,500 to assist with marketing efforts
for a 3-day tournament held earlier this summer at the Field of Dreams
Complex.
Inaugural 2008 USMS 25K National
Championship Open Water Swim -- The USMS 25K National Championship Open
Water Swim on July 18-20 at Morse Reservoir, South Harbour Clubhouse and
Forest Park, was awarded $4,000 for marketing efforts.
The Bureau offers sports grant opportunities to qualified Hamilton
County, non-profit organizations interested in enhancing and or
attracting sports opportunities in Hamilton County that appeal to
out-of-area visitors. The next deadline for the Sports Marketing Grant
is August 15.
