Fishers firefighters serve in leadership roles

Two Fishers Fire Department members were recently elected to leadership positions with the Fire Inspectors Association of Indiana (FIAI).

Fishers Fire Marshal Mark Elder was elected to serve as Vice President of the association, and Fire Inspector Mark Herron was elected to serve as secretary.

In addition, Mark Elder received the President's Award and Fire Inspector of the Year from the FIAI.

The association president, Jim Straws, selected Elder for the President's Award, while Fire Inspector of the Year is a peer nominated award. Both awards recognize individuals for exemplary service to their work, the association, and their profession.
