Oktoberfest Train
After 33 years in German Park, Oktoberfest is moving to the Indiana
State Fair Grounds and the Indiana Transportation Museum is joining the
festivities.
Starting at 3:30 p.m., four round-trip trains will take passengers to
and from the event, which runs Aug. 29 31 and Sep. 5 6. Gates are
open from 4 p.m. to midnight and the last train will depart the fair
grounds at 12:15 a.m. to bring any remaining patrons back to the Fishers
Train Station.
Round-trip tickets cost $14 for adults, $9 for children 3 to 12 and
children under 3 ride for free. Oktoberfest tickets can be purchased for
$6 at the gate or for $5 in advance from the State Fair ticket office or
the German-American Klub. Children 10 and under get in free.

The Indiana Transportation Museum is a non-profit, volunteer-run
organization whose mission is to preserve Indiana's railroad history,
educate the public about railroad history and provide visitors with an
opportunity to experience railroad travel as it used to be.
