National club established in 1911 in Detroit. Hamilton County established in
2004. With the growth in Fishers, Exchange Club of Hamilton County hopes to
include new and long time residents of Fishers and the surrounding
communities to make our community a better place to live, work, and make a
difference.
As a new organization to the Fishers area, we need to get our name out to
the public and increase our membership so we can serve our community.
In September 2004, the Exchange Club of Hamilton County, in conjunction with
our district club and Flanner Buchanan, presented to our community, a
healing field on Oaklawn Memorial Gardens. This field of American flags
represented lives lost on 9/11. With the help of Boy Scouts in the Fishers
area, these flags flew to honor fellow Americans. Local Boy Scouts then make
this field into a Veteran's Field, honoring lives lost in the war on terror
by researching and honoring the brave men and women with a yellow ribbon on
each flag. These flags were sold to the public and now fly proudly at many
homes in our area.
Exchange is Americanism, Community Service, Youth Activities, and the
Prevention of Child Abuse. All these areas of service make for a better
community.
Exchange, America's Service Club, is a group of men and women working
together to make our communities better places to live through programs of
service in Americanism, Community Service, Youth Activities, and its
national project, the Prevention of Child Abuses.
